My workmate just got caught by a ring of guys stealing gas.  They crawled under trucks, used a box knife to cut a triangular hole in the plastic tank, and then siphon off gas.

The replacement tank was $2,000.  I kid you not.  And this was on a production vehicle.  It appears the production tanks are made of 6 or 7 layers, and I think one of them is gold or platinum, or some such.

Just an FYI with what is up with modern "plastic" fuel tanks.
