I got a couple of used water pumps from a local Mazda fr= iend but when I installed one it leaked ... internal seal was shot. I ende= d up buying a gear puller and removed the damaged flange from my original w= ater pump and replaced it with the good flange from the leaky pump. That w= as a bit of a hassle stretched out over 2 weeks but in the end I'm happy an= d it only cost me $40 for a gear puller ... Mazda wanted $150 and CTC $210 = for new pumps. The pulley is now installed with 8 bolts plus loctite, 4 ar= e safety-wired together and belt not too tight. I fixed the water pump and drive pulley … flew= last night for a test circuit and all was okay, so I went back this mornin= g before work and flew for another 0.8 hours.
