Subject: [FlyRotary] air flow

How do you compute the amount of airflow through the rotary in pounds

per minute?

According to my notes, I computed 7.8 x 106 cc/min intake air for a 3-rotor at 6000 rpm.  That’s 275 cfm.  Two-thirds of that for a 2-rotor. You can do the conversion to lbs.

I don’t have the details, but my notes indicate I had come up with 3.9 liters for 3 revolutions of the output shaft.
