Samual,
I finally had the oportunity to record some data for you to consider.

I flew from Austin to Houston and then on to Beaumont Texas before returning to Austin the same day.

Aircraft:  RV-7A with Renesis 4 port and Sam James Rotary cowl.  Prop - 78X88 Catto 2 blade composite, Tracy's EC-2, EM-2 and RWS  2.85:1 redrive.  Intake is my design.  Exhaust uses the stock Renesis manifold (exhaust is directed toward the front of the aircraft), a swirl tube that redirects the exhaust from the front to the rear and a HushPower Resonator that has lost its guts after about 225 hrs.  My exhaust system is all inside the cowl.  Very quiet exhaust!

Morning flight from Austin to Houston.
Aircraft take-off weight was approx. 1800#. Two guys, full fuel and 50 # baggage.
First Leg in the morning - Cruse @ 7500"  OAT 74 deg. F ; 5650 rpm,  MP - 20.5 in hg, 8.0 gph regular auto fuel with 10 % ethanol ( Shell ) :  Airspeed indicated 122 kts , EM-2 showed 163 mph,  Calculated TAS was 165.6 mph.
My oil temp was 173 deg F and water was 190 deg F.  My EGT was 1630 deg F.  My EGT probes are located on the stock Renesis exhaust manifold about 3/4 inch outboard of the manifold to engine flange.  This close location produces higher EGT readings.

The second leg was short from Houston to Beaumont so no data was taken.

Return to Austin (Cedar Park) was at 5 PM and the OAT was 103 deg F. at Beaumont!
Aircraft weight was about 1700 #.
At liftoff I recorded engine RPM of 5880 rpm and 13.6 to 13.8 gph fuel flow.
During climb I reduced power to 24.5 in-hg and climbed at 800 to 1100 ft/min.
I recorded the EGT as 1750 deg F but don't know if this was at full throttle or 24.5 in-hg.
During climb to 8500' maximum oil was 216 deg F and  water was 208 deg F.

Cruse Data at 8500' ; OAT 72 'deg F.
Engine RPM - 5650. ; Mp - 19.2 " HG.; EGT - 1650 F;  8.0 gph ; Indicated air speed 119 kts
EM-2 showed 164 TAS.
oil temp - 192 deg F. water temp 175 deg F.

I leaned the engine to 7.5 gph for a few minutes toward the end of the flight and got 159 TAS, 5520 rpm 170 deg F water and 189 deg F oil.  I plan to experiment with much leaner operation in the future.
