References: In-Reply-To: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Authentication-Info: Submitted using SMTP AUTH at out008.verizon.net from [4.12.145.173] at Fri, 23 Jan 2004 21:35:36 -0600 I'm now fairly sure that I have engine blow-by that forces air (or gasses) into the water jacket and the water out into the overflow bottle. So I'll have to take the engine apart. Here's Ed's reply to my question of whether I should do any porting when I'm anyway at it. Anybody got a decent turbo center housing for sale that will fit in a 1986 NA 13B? Finn Hi Finn, Good question. Here's some things to consider. The Secondary port (end housings) has plenty of area (more than even a street ported turbo) with the two openings (normal and auxillary). However, the center housing on the 6 port is woefully small - even after I had my first engine (6 port) ported the opening for the primary ports in the center housing were not as large as the normal turbo primary ports. Soooo, if I were to do it, I would probably keep the 6 port end housings since they have plenty of port area assuming you are removing (have removed) the aux port cylinders and smoothed the air passage with JB weld or whatever. However, I would probably swap the NA center housing for a turbo center housing.
