My reason for doing this was to move the high profile items such as the water pump and alternator to the side of the engine rather than have them stick up on the top. Yes, the high profile items can be moved or modified, but I chose not to. That said, regarding my water pump, I did remove the stock thermostat housing, etc and replaced it with a short AN-16 male fitting that bolts to the same holes (the engines with the two hole thermostat mount). I do not use a thermostat so my hose simply screws on to the AN-16 fitting. Sorry, I don't have a good photo of that fitting. Ed Anderson >>>I took some pictures of a rotary installation at the SERFI fly-in recently, (I believe it was Ed Anderson's), which showed the water pump with a short adapter, and a radiator cap on top of it. This, of course eliminates the place I assumed the main radiator hose would attach. With this system, how does the water flow, and is there a thermostat under that radiator cap? If so, what would be it's purpose?<<<
