Thanks for the overwhelming response to my previous e-mail to sale my 20B 3 Rotor Engine.  26 inquires and 8 letters of support and encouragement in 2 days!!  For those of you requesting more details, I will put together a more complete information package including pics and e-mail it directly to those who have contacted me directly.  To cover just a few basics here:

1)  I purchased a complete original 20B 3 Rotor engine including all bolt on external components, wiring harness, ECU, original 20B oil cooler, etc  from New Zealand and had it shipped to me through U.S. Customs.

2)  I also purchased Tracy's new RD1-B redrive and "New" EC-2 EFI/EI.  In addition, I purchased a VERY NICE 20B / Velocity motor mount which is a modified Franklin motor mount that has been A&P welded, heat treated, and X-rayed for cracks.  It is likely that this mount could be used for numerous other  installations.  I have already installed and setup the redrive and completed the wiring harness for the EC2 into my Velocity.  This wiring harness may or may not be of use to you in your specific installation, but it will only require a new $2 connector to start your own harness.  I have already purchased the GM coils and special connectors and wired them.

3)  I did the tear down and rebuild myself.  I was a mechanic for 12 years before returning to college to finish my degree, so I do have plenty of practical mechanical experience.  I did a thorough and detailed rebuild, checking all tolerances and clearances along the way.  Two of the rotors and rotor housing were replaced only because I had negotiated to have them included in the engine purchase and shipped with the engine.   I followed the guidance in Bruce's video as well as over 18 months of detailed cleaning, measuring, consulting with various member of this and other Mazda rotary engine groups.  The engine is VERY close to being able to do the first start up.  I have not yet built an exhaust system.

Thanks again to those who responded.  I should have more details in the next few days.  Anyone interested in obtaining info sooner may call me at 214-335-0095 between 9-10 pm Central Std. Time.

Sincerely,
Don Mitchell, MD
