If you have doubts, do a compression test.  You can use a regular compression gauge if you remove the schrader valve.  That way you will know how bad/good things are.  My guess is you may have a bad apex seal.  That will affect two chambers.

The weak spots are better when the engine is hot Vs cold and my ear tells me the weak spots are accompanied by a hiss in the intake … good ones have a pop in the exhaust.  Does this mean that side seals or corner seals are questionable?
