That is interesting. Since I see no noticeable
change in performance by reducing timing a couple of steps; perhaps it’s
worth doing to increase plug life. Although it may be less an issue burning mogas.
I found that I had been operating at 35
degrees BTDC at 5200 RPM and 23” MAP with the
default controller timing setting and Tracy’s
recommended CAS position.

this – based on your advance curves; how much advance would you expect at
these conditions?
