HEY, polishing my turbo is my business....and, yes, it is quit clean as I have even had some assistance from lady friends who were visiting my hangar help , uh, polish it.

Actually, getting to my hangar is quite easy.  The main FBO is Southwest Services (SWS) on the south side of the field. All the airport stuff (ie tower etc) is located on the west side of the airport.

Just head to the larger shared hangars to the south and you will see the Welcome to Houston banner on SWS.  The only taxi way to the city hangars is just to the south/left of SWS.  Taxi past SWS via the taxi way to the south,  between SWS and the large white and blue hangar where Chevron keeps their corporate jets (Juliet, I think),  to the city hangars, and my hangar, Alpha Papa is in the first row of hangars you come to, second hangar on the left. I promise you, it will become very obvious.

If you taxi too far to the south, nice men and women in bright yellow shirts and guns representing NASA will be happy to great you.  If you taxi too far north, nice men and women in green or blue outfits with guns representing the National Guard and the Coast Guard will be happy to greet you.  Come let me greet you....I too have a gun, but I may be a much nicer host in my reception.  Don't I make the experience seem welcoming??????

I am likely making it harder than it really is....just taxi to the rows of hangars.  These are the City Hangars. I am the second hangar on your left.  I will likely be out waiting for ya, and depending on weather, have my Velo out as a land mark.

Or, just ask for a progressive to the "City Hangars'

I should be at the hangar this weekend when I get off on Saturday by about 3:30, and most all of my day off on Sunday.

OH my, I must clean the hangar for company......maybe I can call upon some of the above referenced lady friends for help....uh, perhaps only one at a time.....I don't live THAT dangerously....hmmmmmmmm?

I really hope you can make it.

Chris,

Well, you can always go out to the airport and polish your turbo while you wait for your EC-2 to arrive.  ;-)

If weather permits (and I get caught up on the "honey-do's") I may venture down your way this weekend.  But before I fly again, I've got to get the EGT's hooked up after changing exhaust system.  No need for me to call, you'll be able to hear me doing my runup at 50R.  That will give you about a 45 minute warning.  Are you planning to be at the airport Saturday or Sunday?

Seriously, I'll call you in advance.  How do I find your hangar once on the ground?  From the YouTube videos, it appears that you've got more hangers at Ellington than Col. Sanders has chicken coops.  I'll need a road map to find your hangar.

FINE, I guess it is obvious that a holiday that focuses on friends and family is more important than tending to your aviation project and posting your progress, discoveries and insight here.  NO PROBLEM.  We see where your loyalties lie and it is certainly NOT helping satisfy my 'fix" of rotary knowledge, otherwise the silence would not be as deafening as an un-muffled 20b at full song.

Go ahead, eat your turkey, watch the Cowboys get beat, fall asleep with that evening cocktail dangling from your hand.  I can wait.......  I will be thinking of you all as I "serve and protect" while other officers, as well as all of you, enjoy the day with their families.  I will be checking the list with disappointment as no new emails get posted.  Heavy sigh.

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving. ;-)
