        I had concerns about being able to remove the air from my cores as
well, so I did 2 things; first I made an adapter to allow me to fill the
system through the flowmeter fitting to fill from the bottom up, ensuring
all air is pushed out. Second I installed a small bleeder plug on the top
where the cores are fed. It turns out that neither are required. 
 
Thanks Todd.  You and Ed have convinced me that I can just forget about the
"problem".
