Ben,
I like the wing logo. What do you think of putting the large wings on the
back with the sleeve logo on the front left breast?

Subject: [FlyRotary] Rotary T shirt design again.
Greetings group,
As I have been sick the last few days (one of the many perks of having
three little children), I had some time to fool around with a t-shirt design
for rotary airplane people. I am not a graphic arts wizard, but I think it
turned out okay. The first is just a simple logo on a t-shirt, the second is
a logo on front, but with a small logo and "flyrotary.com" on the sleeve.
(it is not shown on the sleeve, but rather is displayed on the lower left
corner of the shirt in the picture, it would be printed on the right sleeve
on the shirts)
Wondered what people thought of putting "flyrotary.com" on the sleeve, or it
could be easily put on the front under the logo, or left off all together.
Now the downside, this company will print just one shirt, as they can do it
digitally, but my image is too small and would be pixelated if larger than 5
inches across. In order to solve that problem, they would have to do a silk
screen which they do for orders of 6 or more shirts. They are not exactly
cheep, but the more orders they get, the cheeper they get. She quoted me $23
per shirt with an order of 6, I believe that was without the sleeve
printing. Probably add a couple of bucks if that is printed on there. Any
thoughts, discrepancies, like it, hate it, etc... all comments appreciated,
both positive and negative.
One school of thought is to put "flyrotary.com" on the shirt to promote our
group, on the other hand, I don't want to alienate rotary enthusiasts that
may follow another list. Perhaps just the Rotor with wings logo, and no
wording. Most rotary enthusiasts would pick out that rotor in a second if
seen on the flight line. Which is one of the theories behind the shirt.
Recognition of other like minded flyers at the airshows. Last year at OSH we
agreed to meet up on the flight line, but had know way of identifying one
another. I think leaving some people out of good discussion due to
nonrecognition.

They offer many different shirt options, so you could choose your
preference, I don't think they all have to be the same. I personally would
get it in a light grey, as white clothes and me just don't seem to get along
very well.
Best,
Ben Schneider
