I have heard of others using some kind of expansion chamber like this, but
Don is the first I have heard of including a restriction in the line as
well. He got an improvement with the restriction before he added the
expansion chamber. I wonder if both would be needed to dampen out the
pulses?

A small fuel filter with ends for clamping on hose works good for adding
volume to the MAP sensor line, too.

I used a couple of short lengths (maybe 2"?) of sched 40 PVC pipe, pipe
caps, and brass tubing for the hose connections. I'm not sure that the
packing Don used is necessary - the goal is to add some volume to get some
damping. A more elegant way would be to electrically filter/damp the MAP
sensor outputs, but this is cheap, easy, and works.
