He got an improvement with the restriction before he added the expansion chamber. I wonder if both would be needed to dampen out the pulses? I'm not sure that the packing Don used is necessary - the goal is to add some volume to get some damping. A more elegant way would be to electrically filter/damp the MAP sensor outputs, but this is cheap, easy, and works.
