The valve pictured is from the RX7.  The connections have been changed from the original configuration and soldered to the core.  This valve works to adjust the flow through the core but wouldn’t be a reliable cutoff for safety purposes.  Ball valves on the engine side of the firewall for both the supply and return would probably be a better arrangement.  Either valve could be used for making adjustments, but the supply valve would probably be preferred.

 

I have two small muffin fans in the glareshield which blow air from under the glareshield onto the windshield.  There is no heated air supply from the heater core to these fans.  So far, that arrangement has worked fine.  The humidity here is usually quite low, however.

   Is the cutoff valve pictured from the RX7 or one you have added ??..........Also

have you any provision for directing heat to defrost the windshield or have you

found any need for that ??.............
