Yes, a good article - note that the Streamline duct is shown as the best
diffuser shown in the comparison in the article.
Attached is an abstract I made on one of the best NACA studies done on
diffusers with radiator cores. If the abstract interests you then you
really need the original report (pages 7 and pages 14 have some good summary
points). It's got a bit of math, but you can ignore that and just read the
summary and get some good insight into how having resistance (radiator) core
in a duct can make a considerable difference in the type of duct you use.
The original report is NACA-WR-L-208 - you may be able to find it on the
web, if not send me an e mail and I'll send you a PDF copy I have.
