On the climb out of Borrego up to 8000' we = were dead even. Also met a buddy out at Borrego who has a Subie powered RV-9A. It's an = Eggenfellner conversion with the 6 cylinder Subaru. I didn't fly with = him but did watch him take off and depart. He claims he outperforms a = couple of his friends who fly 150 - 160 Lycomings. His takeoff = performance looked pretty good.
