A & B same?  I did try both controllers and they were the same

Mixture knob make any difference when running?  Yes - It would only run when set rich  - 3 o'clock position - It died after 2 or 3 seconds when I turned it to 12 o'clock.
I also reset mode 1 2 4 and 8 to default before the last run.  no change

Mode 3 would be the one to reset if the mixture is in question.  But if there is a question of whether the injectors are connected properly, that should be checked out first.

I was reviewing the EM-3 connections in the manual, and I have a question.  AQM TB4-13 - I have it connected to the display pin 17, but I also see that it is labeled as VSS/Ground.  Should I have also connected this to ground near the AQM ?  The drawing on page 12 of the EM-3 manual shows it as just running between the AQM and display.

If operation seems normal with just the ground running to the display connector, there is no need to ground it locally.  Some users will need to ground the AQM near by depending on installation details of the individual aircraft  (ground & power noise factors)
