Hi Mike,

I thought your's were a RV-4?

I know of no prohibition of spins in RV-3, 4, 6, 7 and 8.

In the article I read years ago by Van, all he said was the the rotation 
rate got uncomfortably high for him after two turns. He subsequently had 
a pilot that specialized in spins test the RV-6. I don't remember that 
that pilot found it unrecoverable in any situation, just that the 
rotation rate got higher after the second rotation than many would find 
disconcerting. Probbaly what the vert stab and rudder on the RV-7 got 
increased in size (in addition to dampening dutch rolls).
