Chris,

Thanks for the welcome.. I've been lurking on this list for a few weeks trying to follow the conversations and this topic piqued my interest.  I'l definitely check out the private list.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, I'll go ahead and introduce myself in another email.

Regards,
Ryan

Ryan,

Welcome.  It is good to potentially have another Velocity guy around. Of course, since I am just a cop, mine is an SE with a 13b <g>.

This is my favorite list but you should check out the Reflector too.  It is the private list for Velo interested guys.  Contact the factory for detials (not sponsored by the "Inc" but can give you guidance).

Here......seek and you shall find.

All the best,

Is there some guidance somewhere indicating the appropriate temperature range?  I've just recently started to look into using a 20B for a homebuilt (probably Velocity XL5) and I'm just trying to make sense of all this.  As this is my first post to the list, I'll introduce myself a little later on today.

Thanks,
Ryan Wilkins

Hey Rino, I would agree that 125F is too cold as well.
My situation is different though as the water temp is 175F when the oil is 135F … I plan to make some restrictor grills for my oil cooler inlets – shooting for 160F year-round.  Don’t forget that is oil-inlet temperature; not sure what the pan or oil-out temperature would be.
