Lynn, Many of us in the flying rotary community have modded the crank to remove the springs and balls and replace them with carb jets, as well as replacing the thermostatic plug at the end of the crank with a plug that is always open. This ensures oil flow to the e-shaft bearings/lobes regardless of temperature or rpm. This is one of Bruce Turrentines recommended modifications.
