Bill,
Mine is on the aft side of the firewall. It just draws air from inside the cabin. I wanted to keep engine compartment air out of the cabin. I control the water flow with a valve I got from Summit Racing, and open and close it with a non-mac servo.
Frankly, the whole idea of an exhaust muff bothers me a lot.

Which side of the firewall did you mount it? I am considering mounting on the engine side, but I am concerned about sealing the air intake. I guess it wouldn’t be any more difficult than an exhaust muff?? Bill B

It is a beautiful, self contained unit with radiator, blower, and housing. Not flying yet, but, fits nicely on the aft side of my firewall. I'm on the road until Monday, but could send a photo then. Those of you who installed coolant heaters for cabin heat…what did you use for your heat exchanger? I am looking for something and I don’t have much room to install it. I need something small. What did you use and what are the dimensions if you remember? Lightweight would be good also! [:>)
