Chris,
Have
you considered a canister type fuel filter? Something with considerably
more surface area and a replaceable/washable cartridge. Summit Racing
have a number of different versions available. (Andair filter/gascolator
is a good choice as well) I had one like this on the Lancair and I did
find crap in the filter from time to time but it never clogged to the point of
fuel starvation.
