So, when is the big day (maiden flight). Do you have a date set with the DAR yet?

Nah. Just envious of all the places you can land that I would be foolish to even try. Of course, I actually have to fly before I can land <g>....kinda works that way.

Ha Ha...yeah, I know sqeeeeeeezing in a mere 9002 feet can be a challenge. Got look out for the arrester cables for the Navy jets....and, be careful if the Shuttle is up as I believe it is one of the many alt landing strips. You ought to think about it in a canard and not a "easy-land" RV <g>
My cell is 832-818-CELL (2355).....that can be used by any who may want to pay a visit.....oh, and you will pay...in shared knowledge I hope. I got dinner <g>
All the best,

Well, I don't know Chris, I'm a little leary of landing on such short runways. I would have to practice up on my short field technique first. Besides, rumor has it that there are a bunch of little gremlins lurking around EFD waiting to pounce on anything that comes within 100 yards of your hangar. ;0)
Seriously, send me your phone number and I'll give you a call one weekend when I'm in need of somewhere to go.

Well dang it Mark....Houston is not that far a hop then, now is it??????? <g> Ellington Field (EFD) is a great little-big airport despite the fact it is run by the city. Have Astronauts tooling around routinely....that is if helping a fellow rotor-head with a fresh set of eyes is not enough ;-)
All the best,
Chris

Kelly, I guess it is just you and me at the moment. I have been flying my 3-rotor Lancair pretty much every chance I get. It is showing 139.7 hrs on the Hobbs. I've been as far north as Denver, and two weeks ago flew it down to Port Aransas, TX. Cooling could use some improvement in order to keep flying during the hot Texas summers. But I'm working on that. Stay tuned...
