Thomas,
Yes and No................Yes early in their development stage Mistral would
sell complete engines and/or some parts such as the PSRU,Back-plate and intake/
injection parts to the experimental crowd..........I personally waited two years for
them to make a production run of parts so I could buy their "Back-plate" for using
a Lycoming engine mount and their "Oil Filter Manifold"...........As they have progressed to certifying their engines and are producing most of the parts (paper trail to satisfy
the FAA) they do not seem interested in fooling with the experimenters..........Also
some of the current parts (the Back-plate I know for sure) are not now adaptable
to the stock Mazda engine core as they were able to correct certain compromises
on their certified parts that were made to make the Back-plate fit the Mazda engine..

-------------- Original message from "Thomas Mann" <tmann@n200lz.com>: --------------

I see where some folks are using the Mistral Back-plate or intake manifold. Etc.

Are these just instances where Mistral was cooperating with the experimental community in the early stages of the company.

Now it seems as though they have no interest in selling such parts.

Has anyone else had a different experience? (recently)
