List and Tracy,
Now that I have = gotten the=20 pulsations from the intake manifold back to the EC-2 dampened out, I'm = getting=20 about 200 RPM more running static. About 6080 rpm now.  My MP = display on=20 the EM-2 always bounced around a lot, but the engine ran = pretty well=20 lately.  I could only get 2250 or so on climb out, 65 degree = day, 5000=20 ft field elev, so I knew I was not getting full power.  I haven't = flow=20 since this change.  I figure that since the EC-2 runs almost = entirely off=20 the Manifold pressure the pulsations where telling the computer to = change to=20 differant MAP addresses that didn't correspond to the RPM and what the = engine=20 was doing, or trying to do.  Now with everthing much more = coordinated, the=20 engine is running stronger.  I accomplished this by restricting the = lines=20 going back to the EC-2 with 1/16 inch plastic tube inside the vacuum = lines and=20 adding an accumulator (3/4 inch tubing) downstream  that is packed = with=20 green nylon scrubby material to further dampen.  One more of = hundreds of=20 projects  done.  More to go.
Now for my next = project. =20 My MP display on the EM-2 is not steady.  Right now with a closed = hanger,=20 engine off, no wind and all electrics off, except the EC-2 and the EM-2, = the MP=20 bounces around.  The average is about 24.7.  But it jumps = around=20 randomly.   24.9, then 24.6, then 24.8 then 24.9, then 24.3 = then 25.1=20 then 24.6 then as high as 25.3.   You get the idea.  I = have been=20 told that others, when in this condition, the MP is rock steady.  = The same=20 for when they are running at a steady throttle setting.  That's = what I=20 think I should be getting too.  I also get this same thing = happening when=20 the engine is running at all steady throttle settings.  It happens = on both=20 controllers.  In the past, I just figured that this was normal, or = close=20 enough as there were so many other more important things to work on, but = with=20 the improvement in RPM with dampening, I'm thinking it is not.  = With the=20 dampening, the display is not bouncing around as much.  I don't = know what=20 it was as I didn't keep track.  I would really like to have this = airplane=20 as right as possible and I'm getting close.  Now I am working on = fiber=20 glass to permantly inprove cooling, waiting for new injector wire clips = so I can=20 install the 86/87 550cc injectors and then of course, remapping. and a = few other=20 things.  So this would be an excellent time to also do what ever is = needed=20 to make the MP steady and make this rotary installation as perfect = as=20 possible.
Your thoughts as = always=20 appreciated.
