Perhaps Dave Leonard can provide some real world consumption on amount of spray water to cool.

I have never actually installed a spray system... thought about it before deciding that is was not a good soulution for my problem. The real solution was of course providing an actual friggin air inlet to my radiator (which previously did not have its own dedicated supply of air.
IMHO, spray bars are only suited to special purposes like racing or getting a float plane up on the step.
I believe Tracy used a spray bar for some of his races.. Maybe he can give details when he gets back.
