The oil return looks like the way Bernie Ker installed his, but the return turns up and ends up above the oil level inside the oil pan. I was assured by Bernie that it worked OK.

I don't recognize it either but a heck of a deal. Good example of how NOT to do the RD-1X oil return. Must not be below level of oil in pan. Back pressure will cause rear oil seal to leak.
