In various of the 13B (Rx-7) service manuals I have the fuel pressure
regulator is tested with the top end of pressure ranging from 37.68 psi to
39.8 psi (turbo is up to 57 psi). The lowest value I've seen for the high
end (WOT) is around 33 psi. So would appear Tracy's recommendation is in
line with what Mazda calls for in the automobile application.
However, I agree that the "standard Pressure" that appears most often
associated with injector flow rates is around 43 psi. I set my regulator
for 43 psi.
