Good observation, Pat. So why doesn't all those 540 flyer pump their tanks full of 87 octane and enjoy a little more flying? Because , they're smart enough not to turn those expensive cylinders into grenades. The true crux of the matter is BSFC may be lower by a tiny amount, but it doesn't matter if you can't use the cheap stuff.
