Bryan;  I'm going through the user learning process  (RV6A Rotary first eng. start two weeks ago)  on both EM2 & EC2 now, am finding them to be very easy to learn even the calibration process, read all info ahead of use & when you sit down in the aircraft it all makes sense & starts to come together.  David R Cook  Lansing Michigan.

Thanks (Bob and Ed) for your reply.  I read the RWS website, but I don’t have a real good working knowledge of these components so I appreciate the layman’s translation.

Bryan, unless you are getting a great deal on an EC2, then I would strongly suggest that you go with the EC3.  Not only does it have some additional features, but Tracy has told me they intend to stop producing the old EC2.  They will still support it, but all new productions will be the EC3.  Also as Bob mentioned, I think not having one 37 pin connector but two smaller connectors is an installation advantage myself.

Either one will do fine on a Renesis but might as well go with the future.

I’m putting a renesis in my RV7 and have a decision to make regarding these products.

Could some of you with more familiarity, give me some advice as to the advantages of the 2’s vs. the new 3 series?

Thanks,

Bryan Winberry
