Does this mean you’re not going to be finished before Tracy finishes his 8? I’m sorry to see you getting out of it, as you were certainly one of the more interesting characters on this list. If I was closer I’d certainly stop by to look through your stuff.

One of these days I’m still gonna surprise you with a visit.

Good Luck Rusty.

Todd

Subject: [FlyRotary] Selling all my rotary stuff

Greetings,

I’ve decided to sell all the rotary stuff that I have.  Actually, I may sell the RV-3 kit and just close out the hangar.  I’ve just been way more interested in R/C stuff recently, and it might even become a bit of a side business.

I haven’t really inventoried everything, but the main items of interest here will be:

RD1C gear drive- $2500

EC2 & EM2- $1250 for both

Autoflight gear drive- $1750  (2.47:1 ratio, limited to 160HP and 6000 rpm, used by Rotamax now)

Complete, single rotor on a test stand trailer- $1250 (no gear drive or engine computer unless you buy them also)

Complete balance single rotor “rotating assembly”- $750

I have a few hundred pounds of 13B housings, and other misc parts that I’ll probably sell for about $1/lb, or maybe just a good lunch :-)  This stuff can’t be shipped, so you’ll have to stop by 2R4 airport on your way to or from the roundup to get it.  I’d hate to throw it all in the dumpster, but I will if necessary.  If you’re vehicle has a trailer hitch, I can send you off with a great aircraft hauling trailer.  It’s 18’x8’, with a single axle to give a soft ride for large light weight items like aircraft parts.  It’s like new, maybe $1000.

I’ll probably Ebay off some misc props, throttle bodies, etc, but I don’t have a listing of those right now.

I’d probably sell the new RV-3B kit (tail complete, quickbuild wings, fuse kit, finishing kit) for the current Van’s kit cost, so you’d save the outrageous shipping charge, and 8 month wait for QB wings.   The kit would fit nicely on that trailer… :-)

If you have any questions about these, send me an email at rusty@radrotary.com

Thanks,

Rusty
