This website offers a tutorial on composite construction and finishing.  I have found the information and processes to be good.  I have made fuel tanks, coolant tanks, intake plenums, cylinder cooling plenums, and air filter housings, some out of male molds, some out of female molds, as well as a Dragonfly from moldless.  For ease of use (with the measuring pumps) and the strength you are needing I would recommend the West System epoxies (though there are others with various attributes).
