I believe the fellow
in England was Ivan Shaw who
later created the Europa.

Re: inline twin engines?
I've got a picture of a long Ez w/
the twin engines on it[in kitplanes mag]. There was a guy in England I believe
who built it. Had two small motorcycle [I think] engines on it, pusher style
looked sleek but I don't think it had the ponies in it to be a show stopper
[unlike if it had 2 single rotors]. I could look up the kitplanes issue if
your interested. It didn't have a write up, just the owners name and a
picture.
Btw anyone want to know the issue
that I had mentioned earlier about aux fans to force air into rads that are
buried in wings or nacelles. I've found the info so give me a
shout.

Not a
chance in hell, Rusty. The structure to hold an engine at the front simply
isnt there. It would be a VERY major redesign, and would probably end
up too heavy to fly. On top of the that, the weight and balance would be all
wrong. I think the best way to put 2 engines on an EZ would be in pods on
the strakes.
