Why didn't you say so?  There is a plastic plane out there, designed in the late 70s by one of Burts assistants that's built like an EZ (hand laid up) but looks more like a small, high AR, tapered wing RV.  Design engine was Cont-85.  Used to run in CAFE races at OSH in late 70s, early 80s and always finished in the money - usually beat Dick Rutan's Vari-EZ).  Called Meade Adventure.  I aim to build one some day - after I finish my Cozy.  It cruised nearly 200 mph on a Cont-85.  Kind of disappeared in 83-85 after Meade was killed on a test hop in a Beech (who he worked for).  Run an ad in KitPlanes and Sport Aviation to buy plans and you might find some.  That's how I found mine.
Hope this helps .... Jim S.

Not a chance in hell, Rusty. The structure to hold an engine at the front simply isnt there. It would be a VERY major redesign, and would probably end up too heavy to fly. On top of the that, the weight and balance would be all wrong. I think the best way to put 2 engines on an EZ would be in pods on the strakes. Now tell us what you really think John :-) Thanks to all who commented.  I knew it was a long shot, but thought I'd ask.  At least it saved me a lot of research.  BTW, when you do a Google search for Vari-ez, the top hit is Marko :-) The bottom line of all this, is that I'm looking for a test-bed for a single rotor engine.  I'm also considering a Dominator gyro, which I happen to have plans for.  That would really be the easiest project, though I'd have to finish learning how to fly a gyro. Rusty (stop me before I come up with another wacky idea)
