Doug Lomheim RV-9"R" =20 Doug, when I elminated the barrel valve, I simply removed it and used = a combination of an epoxy "stick" (which when mixed, gives you epoxy = about the consistency of dough) to fill in most of the end of the cavity = and shaped it so as to have good airflow into the port. I think mixed = some JB WELD and covered the dough epoxy and used Lacqure thinner to = smooth the surface. It worked just fine for over 160 hours until I = replaced the six port engine with a four port.
