My engine was built by Hayes Rotary in Washington. He has retired now, but he opened up my trailing plug holes for better spark plug effectiveness in case of a leading plug failure. He thought it would be safe for an aircraft even tho a small bit of compression might be lost.
I have not flown my engine yet, but in the initial ground run while testing the B controller, I performed the coil cut out  test and they seemed about equal, that is a slight loss of RPM. Sorry, I was too excited to have my engine running for the first time to record what the drop was. But now reading that the drop is negligable without increasing the size of the hole for the trailing plug, I would nopt have had it done.
