Thanks Dennis. Sparkplugs.com had the dimensions for the RX8 and RX7 plugs. The reach for the RX8 plug is listed at 20.6 mm. The RX7 plus are between 19 mm and 21.5 mm. The cheaper plugs are 19 mm for the 1990 turbo model. BUR9EQP , BUR7EQP

Bobby,

I used 13 B plugs in my Renesis during a lot of my ground runs - this was when we were having problems at higher rpm with the CAS not being compatable with the EC-2.  Once we added the zenor diode and resistor I compared both the 13 B and Renesis plugs.  I did not see any notable difference in ground testing.  I now have over 85 hours on the original Renesis plugs that came with my engine (9,500 miles on the car when it was wrecked).  I use nothing but Mogas and have my fuel pumps mounted on the floor behind the firewall of my RV-7A.  I have not had any vapor lock problems at temps above 95 deg. in the summer.

Several days ago several posts showed problems with cowl interference with 13 B engines.  I've found that when using the Renesis engine the water pump outlet, alternator mount and oil fill can easilly be modified to fit the RV-7A using the James Rotary cowl.
