Put 8 foot lines on it today and ran it. A
little better but still won't stay steady enough above 2500 RPM. Dave Cook
had the same problem and solved it by moving the line up to near the
throttle body. I think I will try that next. Ran it up to 19 inches,
stageing, and it started coughing. More tuning to do. A couple of
guys came by and commented how quiet it was. I had one climb in and
start it while I listened. Almost all prop noise, even down close to the
flowmaster at 3000 RPM. Very pleased with that.
It isn't going to happen this season, but I'll fly
down to Mammoth and board with you and eat lunch at Berger's or
Shogun.
