Ernest, I think you are watching too many "Terminator" flicks on TV {:>). Ok, looks like the EFI CPU you are using does indeed us precognition.

with a carburator since a gravity emerg. fuel feed will not work with EFI ? --
No. Emergency fuel will be controlled with a manual valve that dumps fuel in front of the throttle body.
If my generator cops out, I can let the battery keep the fuel pump and injectors running, or I can shut them down and crack open the emergency gravity feed valve. I could even leave the CPU running on the battery and try to dial in a nice lean mixture. Since one ignition will have a separate power source, I can shut down all the non-essentials and procede in "J-3 Mode" (yeah right!...to the nearest airport). Throttle *control* will be crappy and non-responsive, but with a decent valve I'll be able to dial in a cruise setting a leave it till I'm in the airport vicinity. Then I close the valve, switch back to fuel pumps and EFI, using the battery that I've saved. Now that I'm in the pattern, I'll have at least 30 minutes of battery life to get safely on the ground.
The alternate fuel supply and alternate ignition power source will only work if the engine is already running, but I can't foresee any reason to try to use an emergency recovery plan to get airborne. Maybe I'd need to do it if a shape-shifting robot from the future was after me and I needed to fly to the secret bunker so that I could command the worlds remaining remnants of humanity in a battle against Skynet. But in that case, I'd have the governor of California there to help me, and I'd just catch a ride with him. Always have to have a backup plan.
