Ernest,
  Do not know if Lynn is on here lately but he has indicated in the past that the 13B
will start just fine with a 20-25 fixed advance.........Does the Megasquirt have a fixed
or variable advance either manual or based on RPM, etc ??

Using 87 octane car gas, 20 degrees is good up to 9,000 RPM. For 93 octane or higher, up to 27 degrees good up to 9,600 RPM. Actually much higher but torque is poor up there.
