Mark, ACI is the place where I ordered my PRF 83282 after my brake fire back in 2005.
I could not find it anyplace at the time where you could get a quantity less than 1 gallon.  Most FBO appear not interested and are sticking with the more flammable 5606 - I mean there is no point in switching if you're never going to have a hydraulic oil fire {:>).  The 83282 flash point is over 200F higher than that of the 5606

Subject: Brake fluid

To: Chevron employee.....

Does Chevron make this stuff MIL PRF 83282??

Its high temp brake fluid that's compatible with 5606.  The RV crowd is

switching to it 'cause its less likely to flame up when you brake hard...

I'll order a gal if you have a supplier...

Thanks!!  TTYL,

[Chevron sold the specialty aviation fluids business (that means brake

fluid among other things) to Exxon in 1996; when we bought Texaco in

'2001, we ended up marketing some Texaco aviation products, but I'm not

certain who blends them.  But no, there doesn't appear to be this

synthetic brake fluid in the Chevron catalog.  ExxonMobil makes it, and

I see that Royco repackages it for $25/gallon.  And the nice folks at

ACI Lubes would be delighted to sell you a gallon via mail order:
