Don,

I have an email from Bob White regarding a possible wiring change on the 13B CAS.

"One of my customers found an error in the call out for the CAS wiring. The white wire on the CAS cable needs to be connected to both the white and white/black wires on the CAS. Please make a note of this change in your instructions. This only applies to EC2 instructions that say Mod 1 on the title page."

Bob can you clarify this? My EC2 manual is at the hanger. I do not remember these wires being tied together on Marks but could be wrong.

This is a quote from a Motec and Star Mazda document. Different ECU but the gap they specify seems to fit what you are measuring at the stock location. This also fits what Mark and I observed with a scope. As the rpm's increase the peak to peak voltage increases.

"The output of the eccentric shaft sensor is surface speed dependant and is adversely effected by gap. Errors during cranking on a car that will not start may be rectified by adjusting the sensor gap to be 0.030” ~ 0.050” "

If I remember correctly the sensor mount is between the CAS and trigger wheel. Do you have any washers between the CAS and mount that could be removed to close the gap?

Bobby
