.  A complete model would require measuring the amplitude
and frequency of the hammer blows, but a graph built from a few experiments like Rusty conducted will allow one to plot where the system resonates and home in on an appropriate amount of spring.

One thing I'm striving for with my new conversion is to have inexpensive measure of torsional characteristics. With software and inexpensive sensors available these days. I think this would solve the #1 concern with conversions. If this works out, I'll be sure to make it available to everyone.

Can you imagine having real time graph of your torsional characteristics? You could throttle up 50 rpm to point outside resonance zone. Everyone could compare their results, end up with optimal damper for your plane.

I'm pretty stoked about it. No components in hand yet...but I'm hopeful.
