Looks like a purpose built airplane engine to
me!!
Some interesting new things I noticed:
1.) Looks like the rear (relative to the car) oil
pressure regulator is gone
2.) Water pump is separate from the front
cover like the old 13B
3.) Has three oil injection ports and no sign of
the oil injection pump mount. Also the banjo fittings are on some type of
pedestal.
4.) Looks like there is a boss for a third spark
plug or other injection point cast into the rotor housing. Also another one just
aft of the direct injection point.
5.) Does not appear to have the alternator mounted
on the top anymore. Unless they integrated the mount into the water
pump.
6.) Oil from the pump looks to come out of the top,
spark plug side of the front cover.
Anybody see any other new and
different/mysterious things?
