I wonder if Bud used the aluminum tubes or fuel hose? After my aluminum brake line rupture, I must confess a lack of enthusiasm for aluminum tubes for much of anything except perhaps static/pitot lines. I know there any many successful installations with aluminum lines (thousands of RVs flying with them) and if installed correctly with regard to chaffing and vibration - but I prefer stainless steel braid lines for fuel and oil (and now brake lines). Have to hand it to Bud (and his passengers) to still make it to Copperstate and give his presentation after than close call. I think I would have called it a day and gone home.
