Subject: [FlyRotary] EC2 upgrade

Todd & Rusty,  my temps don't go below 135F in a long descent but of course this is in Florida.  Could be a different story in colder climate.  I would not expect the engine to run rough even if it got down to 115F though.  The new dual map in the latest EC2 software (as Rusty has) should eliminate this.

Actually, now that you bring it up... I've been meaning to ask about this. Before you mentioned the new programming I'd not heard anybody make any comments about the mixture during low MAP/hi rev descents, so I expected it to be a bit of a non-issue, but to my dismay it does seem difficult to tune it properly to minimize this issue. So I am looking forward to using the new software. Rusty, since you never flew with the old software, you have nothing to compare it to, but how do you like it? Is it ready for release to the rest of us? Tracy, any idea when this will be available?

S. Todd Bartrim

The dual map feature is available now.  I have been delaying general announcement on the upgrade because I'm still making minor changes to the EC2 - EM2 interface.  Alway a pain dealing with too many different versions of the software in the field.

Different story If you are actually flying.  You should have the new stuff.

Tracy
