This is used to determine actual propeller thrust during a dyno run.

 

The centerline shaft is a few thousandths smaller than the pillow block holes. Thrust is transmitted through the bell crank onto a plate on a bath room scale. Bell crank is reversed for tractor installations.

 

 

HP =  RPM X Torque / 5252
