Don't use flash when you need to pull out
detail. Cover
it, if you can't turn it off. A small spot or flood
lamp
illuminating from the side will create shadows that will
make the
cracks more apparent.

Thanks for the tips
Dale. I actually do know all that, and have done it many times
before. In this case, the pictures weren't that important, so I just
hoped for the best.
