On the RV-3,
I used to just kill the EC-2 power switch. That same switch also
supplied the injector and ignition power IIRC, so sneak circuits would have to
be pretty sneaky to get around it :-) On the single rotor test stand,
I've been killing it with the injection disable switches, because of the
sneak circuit not allowing the EC-2 switch to stop the
engine.
All that
being said, I agree with the logic of using the fuel pump switch, and will
probably start doing that instead.
